Character Background and Description Tristan is a 25-year-old engineer who is regarded as one of the best in the entire technician's tribe. He's 5'6" with short, blonde hair. He was born with astigmatism, and constructed his own glasses for it when he was 12.
Tristan is a lover of everything technological. Growing up in the technician's tribe, he was introduced to it at a very young age, and quickly displayed his prowess. When he was 16 years old, he created a design for an electric lantern that saved 25% more energy than the design an experienced, 37-year-old engineer from the tribe had introduced. Since then, he has often been involved in both the design and development of both new technology and the repurposing of pre-war technology, such as the Radioactive Power Converter.
His biggest goal in life is creating a perfectly renewable energy source that can permanently sustain itself. He believes part of the secret lies in radioactivity, and certainly has an abundance of it to work with, but does not want to irradiate himself to the point of no return and is thus reluctant to attempt it. In the meantime, he is content with redesigning older technology to be both more energy efficient and more productive.
